The images on this page incorporate bird specimens photographed in a college biology department. The constructed/still life types utilize a sheet of plexiglass to represent the fact that many of these specimens were killed in window strikes. Others have the specimens embedded in the random residue of cyanotype emulsion brush strokes in an effort to represent how birds are camouflaged in shrubs and trees.
