Completed before the internet, Circa 20th C, incorporates images photographed directly from television and then projected into a pre-made construction. Postmodern in sensibility, the project describes a dystopian culture in which media occupies an oversized influence and political corruption and consumerism rule the day. Negatives are scratched. taped and otherwise denigrated and the images are ready to be discovered by a future anthropologist looking for clues about 20th century culture.
