Paint Lid Scans, 2021

Much of my work incorporates discarded or denigrated materials such as scratched plexiglass, old machine parts, or even time-worn markings and stains on walls. In these works, the interior lids of old paint cans are scanned and presented transformed as metaphysical worlds.  I attempt to create a background of space and hue that is in harmony with each lids inherent color, form, and markings-dings, warts, warps, and all.
