Dyads

In the series Dyads, butterflies photographed from a collection are superimposed over glass plate negatives from the 1920s. These negatives are from an archive by a rural North Carolina doctor who documented his patients. The ensuing images are intended to evoke anguish, vulnerability, and the fragility of life.
