Earth Poems

 Earth Poems, consist of multi-faceted altered landscapes. They are made with a reverence for nature’s beauty, but also a recognition that nature faces an unprecedented threat due to climate change. Images begin as traditional photographs of landscape/nature and are then subjected to many alterations based on elements within the photograph and intended goals. Some are more apocalyptic, some employ ambiguous spatial dimensions, and others use light and unexpected phenomena to create mystery. My intent for the ensuing archival pigment prints is that a tension is created between the poetic on the one hand, and the ominous on the other.
